Job Description

The role of the General Ledger Accountant is to provide financial support and maintain the accuracy of our company's financial records. The GL Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance and Controller to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, accounted for, and reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices.

The GL Accountant will be responsible for managing the entire fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, tracking capital expenditures, calculating and recording monthly depreciation and amortization, and performing periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts. Additionally, the GL Accountant will coordinate with our Revenue/Receivables team to drive timely and precise cash applications, execute month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience as an in-house accounting professional preparing month-end close reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
  • A completed university degree in accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar international charter preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite and Ramp is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Google Sheets is required.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with GAAP accounting; advanced proficiency in lease accounting is a plus but not required.
