Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance professional to join our organization as an Assistant Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis
    • Prepare and present accurate financial information, including management accounts and general ledger reconciliations
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability and growth
    • Support internal and external audits through thorough record keeping and reporting
  • Cash Flow Management
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow on a regular basis to ensure timely payments and optimize liquidity
    • Ensure accurate and efficient supplier payment processing
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable to minimize errors and delays
    • Issue customer invoices and manage accounts receivable and credit control to optimize cash flow
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances monthly to ensure accuracy
  • Payroll and Expenses
    • Support end-to-end payroll processing, including reconciliations and adjustments to ensure compliance and accuracy
    • Manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with organizational policies
    • Analyze expense trends and suggest cost-saving opportunities to drive business efficiency
  • Process Improvement and Compliance
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance and systems
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations to maintain organizational integrity
    • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and reporting initiatives to support business growth and development

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in finance roles within organizations adhering to US or UK GAAP
  • A track record of process improvement and automation in finance functions
  • Excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and computer literacy
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CPA)
