Chief Payroll Officer

The primary goal of this role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across multiple EINs.
This entails entering, auditing, and maintaining payroll data such as hours, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour law is also a key responsibility.
In addition, the ideal candidate will review and validate time file submissions and resolve discrepancies with managers.
Assisting with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations, responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping, and pay statements, and maintaining payroll records are other essential duties.
Candidate must possess strong working knowledge of payroll practices and regulations, have high level of attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with payroll/timekeeping systems are also required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and familiarity with multi-state payroll processing are preferred but not necessary.
Basic understanding of payroll taxes and deductions is highly beneficial for success in this role.
