Job Title: Technical Drawing Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced technical drawing specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with project managers and trade contractors to ensure that architectural, structural, and MEPFS plans are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the preparation of body plans, wall setting-out plans, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other assigned plans and drawings.
  • Attend and conduct technical meetings as required.
  • Prepare and issue meeting minutes and agendas.
  • Review architectural, structural, and MEPFS plans for discrepancies or design issues.
  • Report discrepancies or design issues to project managers and prepare necessary clarificatory documents (RFI/RFA).
  • Monitor and follow-up on the resolution of discrepancies or design issues in construction drawings.
  • Review rehashed estimates of architectural works included in project contracts.
  • Ensure that drawings released on-site for implementation are accurate and updated.
  • Recommend value engineering or cost-saving measures to project managers.
Administration of Department Team:
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
  • Provide quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct all department personnel.
  • Establish training needs and participate in performance reviews and evaluations.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

Educational Attainment:
Bachelor's degree in architecture or any related field. Professional license is a plus.

Work Experience:
5 years of related work experience in architectural design or construction technical support.

Technical Competencies:
General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes, and plumbing codes as they relate to construction projects. Proficiency in reading and analyzing construction plans and drawings. Proficiency in preparing detailed drawings. Proficiency in computer-aided design software.
