Financial Operations Specialist

This role is a hands-on position responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations. Beyond managing day-to-day transactions, the role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial data is captured, reconciled, and reported to support business decision-making.

  • Reconcile books and financial transactions on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and update supplier invoices, ensuring they match up to statements and are correct in Xero.
  • Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and rectify errors.
  • Follow up with suppliers for outstanding accounts and ensure timely payment.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures.
  • Support other clerical business functions.
  • Collections and accounts receivable as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Diploma or higher) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' bookkeeping experience.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
