Overview:

The role of a Home-Based Staff Accountant involves working as a full-time employee for a growing business.

This position offers an opportunity to learn new skills and demonstrate existing ones while following company instructions and processes.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures is required.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting of ten to twelve properties, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and other supporting schedules.

They will work with outside CPA firms and auditors, support onsite property management staff, review general ledger and record monthly journal entries, and review income statements providing variance analysis.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree, preferably a CPA or someone on that path, 2-4 years related experience, exposure to multiple entity ownership structures, multifamily experience preferred, experience with partnership accounting, GAAP experience, and strong Excel skills are required.
