The Sales Development Representative role plays a pivotal part in creating and developing new business opportunities. The primary responsibility of this role is to initiate conversations with potential customers, identify their needs, qualify their interests, and set up meetings or appointments for the sales team.

This individual will be responsible for:

  • Qualifying leads, setting meetings, and scheduling appointments between prospective customers and a sales representative
  • Researching, identifying, and creating new market opportunities through targeted engagement with prospect accounts
  • Performing high-volume outreach, maintaining a high level of productivity through frequent calls and emails to prospective clients or candidates
  • Maintaining a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Supporting Account Executives on outbound strategies and lead-generating efforts
  • Being the first point of contact for new business prospects and determining the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Establishing active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Maintaining high professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients or potential clients
  • Tracking activity and progress through CRM software

The ideal candidate will have experience in Lead Generation, Appointment Setting, and Cold calling in a B2B setup, as well as exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence.
