Business Development Representative Role Overview

This is a hybrid position that involves qualifying inbound leads and identifying net new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vetting and qualifying inbound leads from marketing campaigns, including contact forms, event leads, and marketing collateral downloads.
  • Sourcing, vetting, and engaging contacts at enterprise accounts via cold calling, emailing, and social outreach.
  • Conducting in-depth account research to personalize outreach and identify key buyer roles.
  • Generating qualified leads that are processed as contacts and accepted by the sales team in the CRM system.
  • Navigating conversation flows to uncover business needs, understand pains, and position Cofense products and services as a compelling solution.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills to connect with prospects quickly and confirm product value.
  • Technical selling skills to communicate with prospects using relevant terminology.
  • Objection handling skills to respond to prospects' objections in real-time.
  • Pipeline hygiene skills to ensure consistent movement of opportunities to sales teams.
  • Time management skills to prioritize and balance inbound and outbound activity without sacrificing quality of work.
