Key Aspects of the Role:
- Reviewing daily reports for accuracy and communicating with front office staff to resolve discrepancies.
- Answering patient calls through a designated extension line and responding within 24 hours, excluding weekends.
- Documenting all communications with patients in the NextGen billing system and may be trained on accepting credit card payments in the future.
- Referencing complex issues to Collector or ROPS manager as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented mindset. Working from home, they will work closely with our team to ensure seamless partnership with clients.
Requirements:- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English is essential.
- At least one year of experience in medical billing and patient responsibility, including deductibles, co-insurance amounts, and self-pay patients.
- Excellent communication and empathetic skills are necessary for this role.
As a Patient Accounts Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and efficient billing, collections, and patient account management processes. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
