
Strategic Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Manager to lead and scale our remote operations team. This senior leadership role requires someone with strong financial management skills, as well as proven operations management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of operations specialists covering business operations, accounting/HR, administrative support, sales/marketing support, and business technology.
- Provide strategic guidance, performance management, and professional development for team members with diverse skill sets.
- Foster a collaborative remote work culture and recruit/onboard new team members as the company scales.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations, including accounts receivable management, billing cycles, payment processing, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain relationships with certified public accountants and external financial advisors.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, budgeting processes, and annual planning processes.
Strategic Operations & Systems:
- Design and implement scalable back-office processes that enable our professional services and sales teams to focus on client delivery and business development.
- Collaborate with Business Operations Technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management.
- Drive data-informed decision making through key performance indicator development, reporting systems, and operational analytics.
- Lead recruiting and hiring processes across all departments to support company growth. Support sales and marketing teams with operational processes, lead management, and campaign execution to drive revenue growth.
Consultant & Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external consultants and service providers, coordinating projects in areas outside your direct expertise.
- Evaluate and onboard new service providers as business needs evolve.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably managing remote or distributed teams.
- Strong finance and accounting background with hands-on experience in financial operations and compliance.
- Experience managing HR functions, including recruiting, payroll, and compliance, and managing external consultants and vendors across multiple disciplines.

- Systematic and methodical approach to building scalable operational processes.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to critical details.
- Excellent at creating structure and order from multi-faceted operational challenges.
- Results-oriented with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred), enterprise resource planning systems, and customer relationship management/marketing platforms and technologies.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Understanding of human resources compliance, payroll systems, and employee lifecycle management.
