About the Role

As a General Accountant, you will work closely with the finance team to manage transactional finance processes. Your key responsibilities include managing finance inbox, processing supplier invoices and employee expenses in NetSuite, raising purchase orders, preparing payment runs for review and processing, sending sales invoices, tracking payment status, following up with debtors as needed, performing regular bank reconciliations, supporting VAT return preparation and filing, assisting in month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations, and providing audit support by collating and preparing year-end data and supporting audit documentation requests.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience within a finance function.
  • UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with NetSuite experience being a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
