Job Description

As a Disaster Relief Call Center Representative, you will be part of our team responding to urgent situations. Your primary role will be to engage with customers, address their inquiries, and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs.

You will work closely with a dynamic team to achieve shared goals, applying your expertise in customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. This is a temporary position contingent on disaster relief needs, offering an exciting chance to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers through phone calls, email, or chat platforms.
  • Listen actively to customers' concerns and provide empathetic responses.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently, escalating them to supervisors when necessary.
  • Meet performance targets for call handling times, first-call resolutions, and quality metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You should also have basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, you must be highly organized, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Specific Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation.
  • Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious).
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage.
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers.
