Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide second-line support for trading systems, middle office applications, and back office / settlement systems.

About the Role:

The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for proactively managing business-critical real-time trading systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas. They will interact with various internal IT support functions and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain trading systems, middle office applications, and back office / settlement systems
  • Identify and address technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex technical problems
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and standards

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of electronic trading systems, middle office applications, and back office / settlement systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and address complex technical issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in supporting production applications on Unix and Windows environments

Skill Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of Electronic Trading Systems, Middle office applications and back office / settlement systems (MQ, TEO, LISA, Exchange technology, RIMS, SWIFT, CREST, EASYWAY, DTCC, EQUIAS, Trayport, Trading Technologies, Alteryx, LANE)
  • Database interrogation and manipulation skills
  • Understanding of the Trade Life Cycle (STP) and FIX Protocol
  • Risk Knowledge/P&L Experience
  • Microsoft Applications (Windows Server/Client) and UNIX/LINUX knowledge

Candidate Profile:

Education:
