Job Title: Assistant Bid Writer

Job Description:

The successful candidate will support the bid team in researching, drafting, and submitting high-quality proposals tailored to win contracts. This role involves working collaboratively with internal departments while adhering to deadlines and ensuring compliance with client requirements.

  • This includes assisting in drafting and editing responses to Invitations to Tender, tailoring bid content to accurately address client needs and highlight company strengths, liaising with colleagues across departments to collect information for proposals, incorporating stakeholder feedback into bid documentation, proofreading all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications, and ensuring proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards.

In addition, the ideal candidate will conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively, maintain a database of prior bids and responses for future use, track and report on bid progress against set timelines, and support the maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring alignment with submission deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning
