Job Title:

Database Administrator

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and configure various database systems
  • Apply maintenance updates and perform data optimization
  • Ensure proper storage for the database and enable it to work with storage devices and management software
  • Install internal and external DBA tools and interface with other technologies required by database applications
  • Maintain backup and recovery systems and ensure their correct functioning
  • Collaborate with multiple infrastructure and IT teams on environment setup, maintenance, and support
  • Guide developers and assist them with database structure design based on business needs
  • Perform data-driven database change management while ensuring correct alignment to our infrastructure methodologies
  • Ensure database availability, health, basic performance, and provide first-level assistance for query tuning
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as a DBA and knowledge of SQL in a software company
  • Experience with Sybase and containerization technologies
  • Experience with GitOps
