Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts and ensuring data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the month-end close, reconciliation and reporting procedures
  • Review and prepare monthly close packages for foreign subsidiaries
  • Prepare monthly Cost Plus journal entries, funding, and cash projections
  • Perform the day-to-day accounting processes and procedures relating to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals
  • Enter monthly journal entries associated with the general ledger
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts
  • Review daily bank activities and prepare journal entries for bank reconciliations
  • Assist on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors
  • Facilitate SOX controls and PBCs for external and internal auditors
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet & Profit/Loss Fluxes
  • Assist with technical accounting as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as requested
  • Interface with other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities. Communicate with the employee population regarding relevant accounting issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of General Ledger experience
  • Strong understanding of international accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and foreign exchange required
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations and close procedures
  • NetSuite experience highly desirable
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel a plus (v-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Professional attitude, attention to detail, can successfully work cross collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities, ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment is critical
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work well with a variety of employee levels and functions
  • Public accounting experience desirable
  • Amenable to work US time or night shift schedule
