Financial Planning Analyst Role Summary

This position is responsible for the financial planning and analysis of our company. The Financial Planning Analyst will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports on projects to stakeholders.
  • Financial Status per Project: Analyze and report on the financial status of each project.
  • Budget Management:
    • Annual Preparation: Prepare annual budgets for projects and departments.
    • Monthly Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on project expenditures throughout the year.
    • Project Based Budgeting: Develop and manage project-specific budgets.
    • Monthly Forecast Preparation: Prepare monthly forecasts for project revenues and expenses.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Projections/Forecast collaboration with all business units: Collaborate with other business units to develop accurate projections and forecasts.
    • Financial Review with all business units: Conduct regular financial reviews with all business units.
    • Company and Project Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actual and projected financial results.
    • Other Analyses, as needed: Perform other financial analyses as necessary.
    • Shareholder Basis Maintenance: Ensure that financial information is accurately reflected in shareholder reports.
  • Management Financial Reporting:
    • Cash Balance and Forecasting: Monitor and forecast cash balances.
    • Corporate Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze corporate financial statements.
    • Wrap Rate Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of wrap rates.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred
  • With 8 years in finance and/or accounting
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis role
  • Understanding of Financial and Accounting Principles
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, self-starter and manage time efficiently
  • Results Oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and QuickBooks; Understanding and knowledge of accounting systems
  • Strong communications skills in English both written and oral
