Job Description:

This is a full-time role where you will support and facilitate the weekly accounts for our busy South East Queensland Markets and Events.

You will oversee and manage our company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial stability and supporting decision-making by providing accurate financial data to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing, Rent Roll/property Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control, and profitability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years of experience) as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in MYOB - A MUST
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
