Financial Coordinator Role Overview

As a key member of our team, the Financial Coordinator (Controller) will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations across our custom apparel manufacturing and e-commerce business. This role requires managing complex financial operations across multiple systems, leveraging AI and automation to optimize processes while ensuring 100% accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete financial management and reporting tasks
  • Reconcile transactions across multiple e-commerce platforms
  • Manage manufacturing cost accounting and job costing
  • Develop and implement cash flow management strategies
  • Lead process optimization initiatives and supervise a team of accounting professionals
  • Implement AI-driven automation solutions for accounting processes

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements within 10 business days
  • Manage data flow between multiple systems and platforms
  • Prepare and analyze income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and job costing reports from manufacturing operations
  • Lead annual budgeting processes and provide monthly variance analysis
  • Optimize cash flow decisions, payment timing, and collections strategy

E-commerce Operations:

  • Reconcile revenue and cash deposits across hundreds of e-commerce stores
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of e-commerce payments and other payment processors
  • Manage state registration, enrollment, nexus monitoring, tax calculations, filings, and exemption management for multi-state sales tax operations

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting:

  • Track production costs and job profitability using ERP systems
  • Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counting, and cost of goods sold calculations
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances in production operations

Process Optimization & AI Implementation:

  • Gradually implement AI tools to automate accounting processes
  • Develop and maintain detailed standard operating procedures for all accounting processes
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements in accounting operations

Leadership & Compliance:

  • Directly supervise accounting team members
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Coordinate and support external audit processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • CPA or International Equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in controller/senior management role
  • Manufacturing/E-commerce Experience is nice to have
