Senior Operations Manager

About the Job

This is a senior management position that oversees day-to-day operations in an outsourcing environment.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure performance metrics are achieved by coaching, motivating and holding direct reports accountable.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of call center associates including work and attendance monitoring in accordance with organizational policies and applicable legal requirements.
  2. Effectively coach direct reports on their performance on a regular basis to ensure performance metrics are achieved at minimum weekly levels.
  3. Identify performance related issues, develop an action plan for improvement, implement corrective action up to and including termination of employment.
  4. Evaluate service delivery to customers and identify areas for improvement to meet contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) and financial expectations.
  5. Communicate expectations to employees and provide timely updates on company goals and objectives.
  6. Provide subject matter expertise in handling escalated customer calls as needed.
  7. Conduct team meetings to expedite communication of relevant information and serve as an open forum for input. Schedule and organize team activities.
  8. Stay current on internal work processes, policies and procedures. Attend required manager development training.
Candidate Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in a related field with two to four years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • A highly motivated individual with skills to develop and coach team members to achieve performance expectations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and follow through on items to completion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead teams in multitasking, prioritization and meeting timelines on deliverables.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and provide direction to a team of employees.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules.
