Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Collections Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for handling inbound and outbound communications with customers to resolve outstanding accounts in a timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, sales knowledge, and customer service skills. They should be comfortable using multiple applications and monitors simultaneously to manage account workflows efficiently.

The successful candidate will be able to convey information clearly, handle challenging customer interactions effectively, and maintain a solution-focused mindset. Additionally, they should be open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, live chats, emails, and text messages from current borrowers.
  • Conduct negotiations for the collection of outstanding accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all collection matters, striving to resolve overdue accounts efficiently.
  • Find and implement the correct solution for each customer, whether it's adjusting a payment date, processing an early payment, or restructuring loan terms.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and providing accurate information.
  • Help customers understand their financial circumstances, credit files, and income, and how these relate to their borrowing options.
Requirements
  • Collections Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in collections, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Sales Knowledge: Background in sales is a major asset.
  • Cross Functionality: Ability to use multiple applications and monitors simultaneously.
  • Customer Service Extraordinaire: Strong active listening skills and ability to convey information clearly.
  • Career Maturity: Confident and professional demeanor when addressing sensitive topics.
