Healthcare Financial Specialist Job Description

As a skilled and experienced Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivables, coordinating with insurance companies and healthcare providers, handling denied claims, and ensuring timely reimbursement of medical expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivables
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to submit and follow-up on claim submissions
  • Generate revenue by establishing payment arrangements, collecting accounts, and monitoring delinquent payments
  • Collect outstanding balances from patients by establishing payment plans and following up on overdue payments
  • Prepare and maintain Medicare bad-debt cost reports
  • Secure payment for outstanding care provided to employees
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and ensure timely payment
  • Handle and appeal denied claims as necessary
  • Reconcile and post patient payments to their accounts
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
