The role of the Assistant Bid Writer is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong research and writing skills.

This opportunity involves supporting the bid team in researching, drafting, and submitting high-quality proposals tailored to win contracts.

As an Assistant Bid Writer, you will work collaboratively with internal departments while adhering to deadlines and ensuring compliance with client requirements.

  • Content Development:
    • Assist in drafting and editing responses to Invitations to Tender
    • Tailor bid content to accurately address client needs and highlight company strengths
  • Collaboration:
    • Liaise with colleagues across departments, such as sales, finance, and project management, to collect information for proposals
    • Incorporate stakeholder feedback into bid documentation
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
    • Proofread all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications
    • Ensure proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards
  • Research and Information Gathering:
    • Conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively
    • Maintain a database of prior bids and responses for future use
  • Project Coordination:
    • Track and report on bid progress against set timelines
    • Support the maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring alignment with submission deadlines

Key Qualifications include strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools, and experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
