Policy and Compliance Coordinator

The Policy and Compliance Coordinator serves as a central authority on organizational policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration across departments. This role ensures all policies are current, reviewed, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Policy Curation & Maintenance
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive policy libraries, including up-to-date master copies and archived versions.
    • Track review cycles and enforce timely updates and re-approvals to ensure policies reflect current practices.
    • Verify compliance with laws, regulations, and accrediting standards.
  • Policy Development & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Create new policies in response to leadership directives or operational goals.
    • Cultivate feedback from stakeholders and incorporate suggested changes into policy drafts.
    • Publish finalized documents in the organization's official policy repository.
  • Regulatory Reporting Oversight
    • Manage a calendar of required reports for licensing, funding, and accreditation entities.
    • Coordinate report generation and submission with assigned departments.
    • Verify accuracy and completeness of report contents.
  • Governance & Compliance Meetings
    • Schedule recurring compliance meetings to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    • Create agendas, track attendance, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
    • Ensure required meetings occur on schedule and are documented for audits.
  • Policy Inquiry Response & Gap Resolution
    • Provide accurate responses to internal policy inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Identify gaps in existing documentation and develop new policies when necessary.
    • Facilitate review and approval processes for new documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
