Job Title: Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a senior role that oversees the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Manage the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and manage the collection process to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address any billing issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for improving the billing and collection process.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior billing and accounts receivable staff.
Requirements:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  11. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
