Job Title

This is an Intermediate Accountant role that involves providing accounting services to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies.

About the Role
  • The Intermediate Accountant will have limited client contact but will actively assist clients in meeting their goals and objectives, as well as answering their queries.
  • The role involves using client accounting programs such as XERO, MYOB, Reckon, Banklink, Cashflow Manager, and Phoenix to extract reports and data, and providing training to clients on the use of these programs.
  • The Intermediate Accountant must remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law, explaining it to clients.
Your Skills and Attributes
  • A Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a similar relevant qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software, with experience using Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks being an advantage.
  • Demonstration of energy and drive.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the profession.
