Virtual Assistant Job Description">

This job involves working as a Virtual Assistant for businesses and organizations that require WordPress management and technical support.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings on WordPress sites;
  • Maintaining website performance by optimizing caching, implementing content delivery networks (CDNs), and ensuring regular backups;
  • Monitoring website analytics to identify areas for improvement and providing recommendations to clients;
  • Installing, updating, and configuring plugins and themes to ensure seamless functionality;
  • Creating and editing content, including posts, pages, and media, to meet client requirements;
  • Providing technical support to clients, including troubleshooting issues and resolving conflicts between plugins and themes;
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as GDPR and WCAG, by implementing necessary security measures and best practices;
  • Setting up and managing eCommerce solutions, including product listings, inventory, and orders, using WooCommerce or other platforms;
  • Developing custom functionalities and features for clients, including integrating third-party services and APIs;
  • Migrating websites between servers or hosts, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity during the process;

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Train users and clients on WordPress usage and best practices;
  • Create documentation and guides for site management;
  • Provide ongoing support and education to clients, including regular audits and reviews of their websites to ensure they remain secure, performant, and compliant with industry standards;

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of WordPress and its ecosystem, as well as excellent technical skills, including proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You should also have experience with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello, and be comfortable working in a remote environment. Additionally, you will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and time zones.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field;
  • Experience in WordPress, including troubleshooting and customization;
  • A compilation of previous works or projects demonstrating your skills and expertise;
  • The ability to work part-time, following US Time zone (Eastern Standard Time) hours;
