
Sales Growth Specialist

As a Business Development Professional, you will represent Orion in sales efforts to promote its services to Registered Investment Advisors. This role involves obtaining new clients or growing existing client revenue within designated territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales management to develop and execute territory sales plans to increase sales and retention.
- Represent Orion's products effectively to advisors, enabling them to identify benefits and cross-sell relevant products.
- Develop new revenue opportunities, capitalize on referrals, and build relationships through efficient channel usage.
- Contact RIA firms and their advisors to provide additional information, obtain feedback, and utilize needs-based selling techniques.
- Ensure excellent customer service, manage expectations, and maintain critical contact relationships with firms involved in the distribution market.
- Monitor and analyze sales goals and activity reports to inform sales management of activities within the territory.
- Meet agreed-upon sales activity goals, stay within budget, and attend ongoing training for current knowledge of markets and industry developments.
- Maintain and update contact databases, reports, and prospect information in sales automation tools.
- Attend conferences, partner with Marketing in campaign development, and share ideas.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of financial services offerings, company policies, and procedures, including advanced knowledge of Registered Investment Advisory/Wealth Management Practice management initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to interact, listen, influence, and partner with high-level decision-makers.
- Leadership skills to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, efficiency, and maximum staff skill utilization.
- Strong sales skills: negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking to persuade others of product value.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Obtain certification and license required by law.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services to Registered Investment Advisors.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining a customer account base.
- Preferably experience in the financial planning industry.
- Ability to own and manage stakeholder relationships directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
