Workday Certified Payroll Specialist

 

This role involves the implementation of Workday's payroll solutions to meet client needs. The successful candidate will have expertise in the Workday Payroll product suite, including Absence and Time Tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance on Workday Payroll configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Lead a team in gathering client business requirements, designing configurations, demonstrating prototype systems, assisting with testing, and completing knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with data conversion teams to help convert legacy data into Workday.
  • Work with integration consulting teams to configure and test integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model, coaching others on product knowledge.
  • Resolve complex tasks and provide support to team members when needed.
  • Facilitate clients' adoption of Workday best practices.
  • Ensure ongoing satisfaction by maintaining high levels of client referenceability.
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers.
  • Identify areas for innovation and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous education amongst colleagues, mentees, and managers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience implementing Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking solutions.
  • Active Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in consulting or software development.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications.
  • Project management experience.
  • Functional experience in one or more areas: Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage against timelines and goals.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Capacity to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
