Workday Certified Payroll Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Certified Payroll Consultant to join our team. This key role will ensure the successful deployment of Workday solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience implementing payroll and absence/time tracking solutions, as well as current active Workday Payroll Certification. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, business analysis and requirements gathering abilities, and the ability to learn technology quickly.

  • Provide expertise in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite
  • Lead the deployment team in gathering and documenting client business requirements, designing and configuring Workday solution, demonstrating configurations through prototype systems, assisting in testing the Workday solution, and completing knowledge transfer to clients
  • Work with confidential client/data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assist the integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model and coach others on product knowledge
  • Resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support
  • Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
  • Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring we are referenceable and referable once in production
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers keeping them apprised of overall project status
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation (assist integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems)
  • Demonstrate computational thinking. Identify problem components, analyze patterns, remove inefficient configurations or processes, and construct algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs
  • Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers - serve as a professional role model
  • Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption
