Job Description

At our Melbourne-based Software Consultancy, we are seeking a Senior Consultant-Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside clients to dissect complex problems and convert them into value-driven solutions.

As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will lead by example and work hands-on alongside your teammates on delivery - as well as providing high-level guidance and advice to our customers.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Consultant-Developer include working under autonomy with a self-driven attitude to own problems and deliver solutions, understanding complex business and technical problems, learning quickly, understanding tradeoffs and communicating a solution, and applying different languages and technologies to projects while coding side by side with other developers on your team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, applying test-driven development practices (TDD) to their work, and having a working knowledge of one of the cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure, etc.

Other key skills and qualifications for the role include being an expert in one or more coding languages, having experience in automation testing, being comfortable with one of the agile methodologies for organizing their work, and being flexible and ready to wear multiple hats during the project lifecycle.

Experience with API Gateway products like Kong would be a bonus.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in one or more coding languages (Java/Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, .Net, C#, React, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, SQL)

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices

  • Applying test-driven development practices (TDD)

  • Working knowledge of one of the cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure)

  • Experience in automation testing

  • Comfortable with one of the agile methodologies for organizing their work

  • Flexible and ready to wear multiple hats during the project lifecycle

  • Experience with API Gateway products like Kong (bonus)
