Cloud Engineering Manager Role Overview:

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the development and operations quality of our OpenStack team.

The successful candidate will manage engineers to optimize processes, identify performance indicators, implement disciplined methodologies, and represent the team with stakeholders.

The team designs, builds, and operates modern distributed systems on private infrastructure for customers, utilizing the latest technology in a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will oversee a growing engineering team to enhance quality and velocity of both development and operations, ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize engineering processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure team health
  • Implement robust engineering and operations methodologies
  • Represent the team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams
  • Ensure alignment between team priorities, milestones, and deliverables
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field or relevant experience
  • Proven track record of professional experience in software delivery or managing operations teams
  • Experience with OpenStack and cloud-based systems administration
  • Demonstrated commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, with Ubuntu/Debian expertise preferred
