A Data Insights Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing data processes to support seamless access, analysis, and decision-making across an organisation. This position bridges the gap between technical data teams and business operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient controls of data processing systems. Key responsibilities include collecting data trends, quality control, reporting, and collaborating with internal development teams to identify and resolve data-related issues, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Cleaning and Transformation:
    • Identifying and resolving data quality issues like duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies.
  • Data Quality Monitoring:
    • Establishing and maintaining data quality metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Data Pipeline Management:
    • Managing existing data pipelines to collect data from ingestion, processing, and distribution across different systems.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analyzing operational processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • System Administration:
    • Maintaining and troubleshooting data and reporting systems, including simple administrative tasks.
  • B.A.U. Ownership
    • Manage and process existing B.A.U automated processes. Act as first-level incident support analysts in case of failure and maintenance of Ops Manual for ease of issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Graduate of any IT or Computer related course preferably Engineering, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or Statistics related
  • At least 3-5 years experience
Necessary Skills
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of basic SQL, Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and trends in data.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration Skills: Effectively working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
