Technical Customer Support Specialist

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Customer Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our customers.
About the Role- You will be embedded within the Engineering department and work closely with our Product, Development, Infrastructure, Customer Success and Sales Teams.
- You will be responsible for resolving customer issues via Zendesk tickets, merge requests, email and video conferencing.
- You will collaborate with our teams to build new features and fix bugs.
- Support a mix of Self-managed and GitLab.com (SaaS) customers.
- Resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with our teams to identify and resolve root causes of customer issues.
- Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.
- Experience in managing customer-facing cases throughout the entire support lifecycle.
- Excellent Linux systems administration knowledge.
- Ability to use scripting languages such as Ruby or Bash.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD.
- Expertise in writing support content.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to customers and coworkers.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and technologies.
