Job Description

The role of Senior Cash Application Specialist involves overseeing the precise and timely application of incoming payments to customer accounts. This requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to manage the cash application process, resolve payment discrepancies, and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.

This person will work closely with the revenue management team, local office accountants, and other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and maintain up-to-date financial records. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cash applications, proficiency in relevant accounting software, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Cash application specialists play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records. They are responsible for managing cash receipts, processing payments, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various teams to improve processes and ensure seamless communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business-related courses.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook 2016 (Intermediate MS Excel skills required, including Pivot and Vlookup).
  • At least 3 years of extensive work experience in Cash Receipts process or related role.
  • Working knowledge with Elite 3E or any financial software preferred.
  • Preference for General Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Billing is a preference.
