Account Receivable Specialist Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate payment allocation and receipt verification.

  • Cash reconciliation and lock box process management.
  • Developing daily cash posting processes from various banks and financial institutions.
  • Monthly or weekly cash to accounting reconciliation.
  • Designing comprehensive reconciliation processes for lock box transactions.
  • Reporting on cash receipts and volumes.
  • Maintaining customer information and updating records as needed.
  • Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Building effective relationships with customers, billing teams, and account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily cash postings from multiple sources.
  • Posting from various lock boxes.
  • Regularly reviewing and reporting on cash receipts and volume.
  • Establishing processes for efficient lock box transactions.
  • Investigating discrepancies in account reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like QuickBooks and ConnectWise.
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Team player with a passion for process automation.
