Adjust plans and routes in response to changing conditions, emergencies, or delays to ensure operations continue smoothly.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with field personnel and the public.
Multitasking:
The ability to manage multiple calls, tasks, and information streams simultaneously is essential.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, multi-line communication systems, GPS, and other relevant software is necessary.
Geographic Knowledge:
Familiarity with local geography and the ability to quickly process mapping information is beneficial.
Calmness Under Pressure:
The capacity to remain calm, think critically, and make sound judgments in fast-paced or high-stress situations is vital, especially in emergency services.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
