Export and Import Coordinator

Overview Ensuring goods are dispatched and received. The coordinator duties include helping with planning, research, development, and assisting in executing export and import strategies. Works with the managing director to ensure utmost customer satisfaction by getting goods on time. Monitors reports to ensure on-time delivery of export/import shipments and necessary documents as well as dispatches are accurate. Responsibilities Prepare export, import, and dispatch documents. Ensure all pre-shipment dispatch documents are correctly prepared. Ensure shipments are dispatched/received on time from/to factory and from/to warehouse in good condition. Research customs requirements, defined logistics guidelines, and prepare required documentation to successfully ship and clear international orders. Ensure insurance is prepared for all import/export shipments. Coordinate with freight forwarders to determine cost-effective, efficient, and competitive transportation and consolidation methods. Maintain constant communication with customs brokers, transporters, terminals, and customers to ensure timely delivery. Know who to contact within the logistics industry and liaise with government bodies, customs, brokers, and internal customer service teams. Ensure timely submission of post-shipment documents with banks. Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills to handle day-to-day concerns. Provide utmost customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery of goods. Monitor reports to ensure on-time delivery of import/export shipments and necessary documents, including sample dispatches, without error. Check pre-import/export documents and dispatch. Ensure shipments are dispatched/received on schedule from factory to warehouse in good condition. Research customs requirements, defined logistics guidelines, and prepare required documentation to ship and clear international orders. Ensure insurance is prepared for all import/export shipments. Coordinate external logistics and ensure timely import/export operations. Daily follow-up of max/min stock; coordinate exports/imports from inventory. Maintain constant communication with customs brokers, transporters, terminals, and customers to ensure timely delivery. Liaise with government customs, brokers, and internal customer service teams. Ensure timely submission of all post-shipment documents to the bank. Inventory management and related duties. Assure import of goods arrives as scheduled/on time. Job Qualifications Proven 5 years of experience in export and import processing. Good understanding of office management. Knowledge of customs broking procedures. Demonstrable ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach. Good knowledge of local and international logistics research and databases. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Familiarity with SAP, Honeywell, and other supply-management systems. Good communication and people skills. Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration or International Marketing. MBA is an advantage.
