Role Summary:
Responsible to drive sales including new account development and expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.
- Responsible for achieving Sales Targets through the direct sale of the company's products or services.
- Implement sales and marketing plan/strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives. Identifies the necessary resources required for the effective implementation of the plan. Assesses effectiveness of the sales/marketing plan and provides relevant information to Management for future reference/use.
- Responsible for the inclusion of products in the Hospital Formulary.
- Negotiates price, monitor inventory and book sales with the key hospitals.
- Manages the oncology tenders in the territory for both government and corporate hospitals.
- Builds and maintains long-term relationships with key decision-makers/economic customers and identifies opportunities (e.g. Pharmacy, Purchasing and Hospital Administration).
- Calls on prospective customers, masters effective sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices.
- Monitors sales against forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential for the territory.
- Works closely with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies with long-term business objectives for Oncology business.
- Provides relevant market and competitive data to marketing and actively participates in the development of a marketing strategy and plan for the account or products/services consistent with the long-term business strategies and objectives.
- Prepares and conducts regular business review of the handled accounts to assess and monitor the performance of the account and identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Promotes BBL as a healthcare company through positive relationships and activities especially with key opinion leaders and decision-makers of their accounts.
- Provides feedback regarding product simplification and standardization to enhance profitability of sales line.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any 4-year College Degree Course, preferably Allied Medical Courses.
- Have at least 5 years solid sales experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry; experience in marketing would bring added dimension to the role.
- Demonstrates business acumen.
- Strong knowledge of sales processes.
- Ability to understand and adapt to customers' changing needs.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies.
- Strong communications skills.
