Responsibilities
  • Critically assess technical proposals submitted by Solution Architects and Engineering teams.
  • Validate high-level and low-level designs to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Flag architectural risks, design flaws, or overengineered solutions before Gate 2 planning begins.
  • Project Support & Technical Oversight
  • Collaborate with Project Managers as the technical subject matter expert during initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Participate in scoping, BoQ validation, effort estimation, and deployment strategy.
  • Conduct technical walkthroughs, impact analyses, and readiness reviews for complex deployments.
  • Governance & PMG Compliance
  • Ensure all endorsed solutions adhere to Hybrid PMO Gating requirements and technical documentation standards.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for technical sign-off at critical stages (especially before procurement or client handover).
  • Help enforce centralized documentation, architectural traceability, and standardized design review practices.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Network/Systems Engineers, and third-party vendors for technical alignment.
  • Join project governance forums and decision checkpoints to provide technical input.
  • Represent PMG in design clarifications, integration strategy discussions, and resolution of technical conflicts.
  • Risk Management & Quality Assurance
  • Identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in the formulation and upkeep of project-level and PMG-wide risk registers.
  • Ensure proper technical QA measures, test plans, and acceptance criteria are built into the execution plan.
Qualifications
  • Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or Telecommunications.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, AWS/Azure Architect, TOGAF, ITIL) are a strong plus.
  • Experience
    • Minimum five (5) years in a technical implementation, architecture, or systems integration role.
    • Minimum two (2) years supporting or interacting with project delivery teams in IT/TELCO environments.
    • Strong understanding of Telco infrastructure (IP/MPLS, Core, Access, OSS/BSS) or IT enterprise systems.
  • Technical Skills
    • Technical architecture validation and design assurance
    • Risk analysis and quality gate implementation
    • Familiarity with deployment models (on-prem/cloud/hybrid)
    • Understanding of solution lifecycles and integration patterns
