Lead Lending Projects in Banking and Financial Services

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead lending projects in the banking and financial services industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in project management, business process design, and technical leadership.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of lending projects, including process design and implementation of loan origination and loan servicing systems.
  • Manage both business and technical workstreams, providing direction to the technical lead, and serve as the primary point of accountability for project outcomes.
  • Directly manage the technical lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement and innovation within client organizations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate resources to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role:

  • This role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive business transformation and operational excellence for clients in the financial services sector.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience leading lending projects, including loan origination and servicing systems, and will be able to provide strategic guidance to clients on how to improve their lending operations.
  • We are looking for someone who can lead by example, motivate and develop high-performing teams, and drive results through effective stakeholder engagement and communication.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a business, actuarial, finance or technology discipline.
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program or have obtained the qualification with a well-ranked institution.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in the Consulting Industry and/or Financial Services Industry – Banking Institutions.
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asia market, the core trends and drivers, with proficiency in articulating regulatory, economic, technological, and business impacts on key institutions.
  • Experience leading lending projects in banking or financial services.
  • Strong project management skills, including oversight of technical teams and deliverables.
  • Expertise in business process design, requirements gathering, and documentation for financial services operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, and vendor management.
  • Ability to manage risks, timelines, and resources effectively in a client-focused environment.
