Agency Sales Support Specialist (UITF) at Sun Life

Primarily responsible for the following:

  • help grow the SLIMTC UITF sales by developing the relationship with the SLOCPI agency distribution team and the Certified UITF Sales Personnel (CUSP) financial advisors
  • has sales oversight on advisor led sales in UITF and coordinates internally for other trust products referrals
  • assisting onboarded clients with their financial and non-financial related transactions and queries in a timely manner
  • owner of the overall records management and process manuals for Agency related sales and activities
Major Accountabilities
  • Develop relationship with the SLOCPI/SLAMCI agency distribution team to reach the targeted financial advisors to encourage them to take the Certified UITF Sales Personnel (CUSP) exam and sell the SLIMTC UITFs
  • Serve as the main point of contact of the CUSP Financial Advisors in SLIMTC
  • Monitor UITF sales performance of the agency channel, including fees earned and responsible for delivering necessary reports to management
  • Represent SLIMTC in Sun Life PH agency events
  • Assists in UITF product roll outs and in CUSP recruitment and training related activities
  • Assists in conceptualizing SLIMTC CUSP events, promos and incentive programs (sales campaigns) to support initial and subsequent sales
  • Assists the Marketing Team in other activities to achieve overall sales targets
Sales oversight on advisor led UITF sales
  • Conducts the sales oversight on Advisor led UITF sales and coordinates internally for other trust product client referrals (30%)
  • Ensure complete KYC and documentation for Advisor led UITF sales prior to turn over to SLIMTC Fund Operations
  • Conduct sales verification and pre-booking all back of advisor led UITF sales, when necessary
  • Reconciles UITF bookings with funding of clients
  • Ensures that the end-to-end booking process and documentation involving CUSP UITF sales are followed
  • Liaises with SLIMTC Fund Operations to ensure CUSP UITF sales bookings and redemptions are completed within the prescribed TATs
  • Coordinate with the proper team for Financial Advisor client referrals for other Trust products
  • Liaises with Regulators, external counsels and other internal stakeholders, etc as may be deemed necessary
Client transactions and inquiries
  • Assists in the transaction concerns of the clients and respond to their queries in a timely manner
  • Serves as the point of contact for direct client inquiries for onboarded accounts
  • Ensures the timely delivery of required reports of the client, in addition to the standard SOA
  • Monitor the mailboxes related to agency UITF financial and non-financial transactions and ensures that queries and requests are processed and met within the agreed TATs
  • Ensures the timely resolution of any queries, requests, complaints received through SLIMTC's Customer Assistance Mechanism
Records management
  • Prepares pertinent reports to Management on relevant information
  • Safekeeping of pertinent client files
  • Tracking of sales targets and responsible for delivering necessary reports to management
  • Monitor UITF sales performance of the agency channel, including fees earned
  • Owns the Retail process manuals, including ensuring that these are updated in adherence to BSP regulations, as well as other regulations that may affect the Agency sales channel
  • Close coordination with internal support units to meet client requirements
  • Adherence to AML, data privacy and internal and external regulators compliance requirements
