Overview:

The Field Collections Agency Coordinator is responsible for managing the coordination and oversight of external field collection agencies handling delinquent accounts from mid-stage delinquency (Bucket 2) to write-off. The role ensures that agencies implement tested and effective collection strategies, comply with regulatory requirements, and deliver on agreed recovery targets while maintaining proper customer handling. This position reports directly to the Collections Head and plays a key role in controlling delinquent accounts, supporting recoveries, and mitigating losses.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with accredited collection agencies to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant implementation of field collection activities.
  • Oversee the collection of outstanding credit from Bucket 2 to Write-Off accounts, ensuring recoveries while minimizing profit loss.
  • Provide agencies with account assignments, updated documentation, and timely guidance on collection priorities.
  • Monitor and evaluate agency performance against KPIs, SLAs, and recovery targets; escalate concerns and recommend corrective measures.
  • Conduct visits and meetings with outsourced collection agencies to review performance, align on goals, and address operational issues.
  • Validate reports and reconciliations submitted by agencies to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with the Collections Strategy & MIS Head and the Collections Head to identify underperforming collectors and recommend improvement plans, tools, or support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (credit, risk, legal, MIS) to resolve complex accounts and support recovery strategies.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on agency performance, delinquency trends, and portfolio recovery outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent required.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in collections, recovery operations, or agency/vendor management (banking, fintech, or financial services preferred).
  • Knowledge of collections processes across delinquency buckets, including write-off stage.
  • Strong coordination, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • High attention to detail, compliance-oriented, and able to manage multiple agencies simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for agency visits, site checks, or field audits as needed.
