Overview

Job Responsibilities
  • Team leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a growing team of ESG research and engagement professionals in Manila, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Research oversight: Ensure the production of high-quality ESG research and engagement outputs aligned with internal frameworks and client needs.
  • Engagement coordination: Oversee the team's support for investor-led corporate engagements on material ESG issues across sectors and regions.
  • Global collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues across North America, Europe, and APAC to ensure consistency, alignment, and full integration of the Manila team into global workflows.
  • Team development: Drive professional growth and skills development within the team, supporting both subject-matter expertise and core research competencies.
  • Operational management: Lead local resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance review processes.
  • Process improvement: Contribute to the evolution of research methods, internal systems, and thematic priorities, reflecting market developments and client expectations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
  • Significant experience in ESG research, stewardship, responsible investment, or a related field (10+ years preferred)
  • Proven experience managing large or rapidly growing teams, ideally within a multinational organisation
  • Strong ESG thematic knowledge across areas such as climate, natural capital, human rights, and corporate governance
  • Experience in a client-facing or client-servicing role, with an understanding of institutional investor needs and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain talent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ESG issues clearly
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and within global teams
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex projects
