Engineer of Record (PE) – Seeking a Semi-Retired PE to Review & Stamp Structural Designs

Industry: Civil & Geostructural Engineering

Company: Garbin GeoStructural Group. Garbin GeoStructural Group is a U.S.-based engineering firm specializing in ground improvement and deep foundation design. We're looking for a seasoned, licensed PE with deep structural or geotechnical experience to act as Engineer of Record on a flexible, part-time basis. This role is ideal for a semi-retired engineer who still loves the work but prefers fewer hours and no direct business development or staff management. You’ll review, advise, and seal designs prepared by our skilled team of civil engineers and drafters, with final oversight from the company’s founder, Dr. Edward Garbin.

What You’ll Do:

Review geotechnical and structural calculations and drawings

Serve as EOR for select U.S. projects

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and high technical standards

Support our design team with clear, practical feedback

What You’ll Need:

12+ years of experience in geostructural or civil design

Comfort reviewing work by international teams

High integrity and a strong sense of stewardship
