Cross-Border Payments Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer – Cross-Border Payments Department provides research and development, business partner relations and operational support to the Department Head in the implementation, promotion, and adoption of the Bank's cross-border payment solutions. Stationed at the Head Office, the role assists in the research, planning, coordination, preparation, and execution of product development based on Web3, Blockchain, and other new technologies. The role also supports documentation, performance monitoring, compliance coordination, and reporting in collaboration with the Remittance Business Support Department (RBSD) and other enabling units. This position is instrumental in ensuring that product research & development, partner relation development & management, and customer awareness are aligned with strategic objectives and executed in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Research and development of cross-border payment solutions and related fintech capabilities in alignment with Bank objectives.
  • Build and manage partner relationships with cross-border payment providers and technology partners.
  • Support product development activities, planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives based on Web3, blockchain, and related technologies.
  • Documentation, performance monitoring, and reporting in collaboration with RBSD and other units.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies across all activities.
  • Assist in market research, competitive analysis, and technology trend assessment to inform strategy.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Business Understanding

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, research & development of non-traditional financial products/services, preferably with exposure to fintech, web3, blockchain and cross-border payments

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in research & development, reporting, and documentation
  • Skilled in communication and interpersonal collaboration across cross-functional and cross-border teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to timelines and details
  • Knowledgeable in web3, blockchain industry and latest technologies in cross-border payments/money movement
