DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Solutions Division Head, the Strategic Account Manager supervises personnel engaged in Account services and will act primarily as End-Users Consultant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise account representatives to ensure sales increase.
- Prepare and implement promotional and marketing plans for key accounts in consultation with other managers to meet business objectives.
- Monitor the progress towards the achievement of short-, long-term sales and business objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity in relation to national accounts and ensure that the appropriate responses are developed to any perceived threats to business.
- Verify new sales opportunities within existing portfolio of accounts and identify additional business opportunities.
- Monitor feedback from customers to measure their satisfactions and needs with company products.
- Provide customers and potential customers with information about company products and services.
- Maintain an awareness of sales and other developments amongst competitors and pass any relevant information to the appropriate company staff.
- Leading and training other members of the account team.
- Maintain all required records of sales and other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored.
- Direct and control the staff of the department to ensure that they are appropriately motivated, trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Maintain an awareness of developments in sales generation and product development.
Preferably College graduate in Business Management or other related courses, with at least 5 years working experience in similar capacity, thorough product knowledge; excellent communication and sales skills; a proven sales record is an advantage.
