Procurement Officer

PROCUREMENT OFFICER is responsible for end-to-end procurement for the assigned category, item, or service. He/She shall comprehend every purchase through extensive research, benchmarking, and analysis of different categories.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts materials sourcing to ensure sufficient supplier base
  • Responsible for supplier accreditation
  • Collaborates with all functions involved in the process
  • Negotiates prices and ensures supply and delivery conditions are met
  • Analyzes and reviews purchase requisitions, collaborates with end users and considers information gathered about market conditions in recommending purchases and preparing Purchase Orders
  • Evaluates and measures supplier performance in terms of Cost, Timeliness and Completeness of Delivery and Quality
  • Conducts regular business review with suppliers to develop supplier partnership
  • Initiates cost savings and improvement programs to help drive cost efficiency
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Management or equivalent
  • Must have at least five (5) years solid experience as a Purchasing Supervisor handling Food or Non-Food Categories in a Restaurant industry or Food Manufacturing Industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • With good leadership and people-management skills
