Job Overview: The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all facility-related operations. This role involves ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our facilities, including buildings, equipment, systems, and infrastructure. The Facilities Manager will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our employees, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, security, and vendor management.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand facility requirements and align them with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, overseeing expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Identify and evaluate external service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and permits related to facility management, health, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, partnering with relevant stakeholders to conduct drills and training.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives and energy conservation practices to promote environmental responsibility and efficiency within the facilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in facility management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and new construction.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the facility management team, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in managing facility operations, maintenance, and projects.
  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facility-related regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and cost management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental certifications (e.g., LEED) is a plus.
