
Technical Sales Representative

The Technical Sales Representative generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders. Has a thorough understanding of the technical requirements of the clients and has the capacity of interpreting said requirements. Furthermore, he/she is required to providing technical information, key account management, developing new accounts, and reviving the lost business.
Responsibilities- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new products.
- Writes letters and business correspondence to suppliers as needed.
- Closes new accounts.
- Builds rapport, provides technical information and explanation and prepares quotations and purchase orders.
- Develops current accounts by checking customer\'s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining the technical features of the products.
- Promotes products through end-user calls, training, product demonstrations, trade shows, and other activities required to deliver ingredients to customers.
- Takes initiative to resolve and suggest solutions to potential issues with customers and suppliers.
- Able to successfully maintain and grow his/her business.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Ensures that all credits/credit terms given to customers are monitored and controlled effectively.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitors\' information and trends.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s/College Degree in Food Technology / Nutrition / Dietetics / Chemistry / Biology.
- At least 2 Years of working experience in the field of Sales, R&D, or QA is required for this position.
- Professional experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry will be an advantage.
- A holder of valid Professional / Non-Professional Driver\'s License.
- Good Presentation / Demonstration Skills.
- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
